Fa-Hsuan Chen
was born in 1976 in Tainan (Taiwan).
She attended the TAIWAN Tainan Woman’s College of Arts &Technology from 1993 until 1998 and continued her education at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen from 2001 until 2004.
During that time she choreographed a few minor productions and worked with Kuo-Chu-Wu and was assistant to Ben J. Riepe for “Anderland” (2004).
After graduating from the Folkwang Hochschule she worked with Morgan Nardi/Ludica, Leonard A. Cruz, Double C and Gerda König.
She works with Ben J. Riepe since 2005.
Deborah Gassmann
was born in 1982 in Luzern. After studying Theatre and Philosophy at the University of Bern in 2003 / 2004 she moved on to the Folkwang Hochschule Essen to study stage dance and graduated in 2008. She worked with Hannes Leo Meier, Irina Loretz, Lior Shneior, Stefan Brinkmann, Fang-Yun Lo, Max Pothmann, Rodolpho Leoni, Werner Nekes and Angie Hiesl.
She works with Ben J. Riepe since 2008.
Simon Hartmann
was born in 1984 in Pforzheim. He studied and graduated at the "Desmond Jones School of Mime & Physical Theatre" in London until 2004. Since October 2006 he studies contemporary stage dance at the Folkwang-Hochschule Essen. While still a student he danced in various choreographies, some of them by Rodolpho Leoni, Malou Airaudo,Henrietta Horn and Fang Yun Lo.
He works with Ben J. Riepe since 2009.
Linda Nordström
was born in 1979 in Linköping, Sweden.
She attended the John-Cranko-School, the Ballet-School of the Württembergische Staatstheater in Stuttgart from 1994 until 1996, where she was educated in classical dance.
After her A-levels she began studying at the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen and graduated in June 2003. While still a student she worked with Manuel Quero, Joachim Schlömer and Juan Kruz Diaz De Garaio Esnaola and others. In 2009 she appeared in “World‘s End Girlfriend“ by choreographer Yoshi Shibahara and assisted Ben J. Riepe in the production “shy-wild” for the Folkwang Tanzstudio.
She works with Ben J. Riepe since 2004.
Daniel Ernesto Müller Torres
was born in 1980. After graduating from his teacher training at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main he started his education as a dancer at the Folkwang-Hochschule Essen. He worked with (among others) Rodolpho Leoni, Malou Airaudo and Henrietta Horn.
He works with Ben J. Riepe since 2008.
Benjamin Kahn
was born in 1980 in Marseille (France). He started his education in 1999 at the Conservatoire National in Rennes and moved to the DEUST Théâtre Université in 2002, where he graduated in dramaturgy and scenography. From 2005 until 2008 he studied at the Ecole supérieure des arts du cirque in Brussels with focus on dance acrobatics. Among others he worked with the Ballet National de Marseille/ Fredérique Flammend, Renaldo Remperssard, Cis. As palavras/Claudio Bernado, Cie dè Ici.P/ Fre Werbrouck, on the Platforme danse Mozambique, Sud Afrique, with Rolf Alme, Cie luciole/ Pierre Mayer and Marcus Von Wachtel. Since June 2010 he works with Ben J. Riepe.
Hyun-Jin Kim
was born in Seoul (South Korea). From 1998 until 2001 she studied at the Seoul Institut of the Arts and moved to the Folkwang Hochschule Essen in 2002 where she graduated in 2006. She worked together with artists like Chikaco Kaido, Leandro Kees, Rodolfho Leoni, Jacqueline Fischer und Henrietta Horn. From 2007 until 2009 she was a member of the Folkwang Tanzstudio. Since 2005 she choreographs own pieces. With „shy-wild“ in 2009 she danced for the first time in a piece by Ben J. Riepe and since then she is working with him.
